Having followed many different types of diets Sharon Taylor-Marshall, a mum of two from Cheshire, found none of the so called fad diets actually work. Anything that restricts your intake of certain foods, or encourages the eating of anything rather than a wide range of fresh and healthy fruit and vegetables, cannot help you loose weight.
Several years ago Sharon joined her local Slimming World group in Handforth in Cheshire. Immediately she realised the only way she was going to loose weight was by a change of lifestyle. This is not rocket science. This is not something new. This is simply the path of eating less oils and fats, cutting down on alcohol and its twin culprit bread, not eating ready made and processed foods, and increasing the intake of fresh fruit and vegetables.
After starting a facebook page My Slimming Word Journey she was inundated by requests for the healthy diet recipes that she was cooking for her and her children on a daily basis. This lead her to bring all of the recipes and advice together in to one place and put this on a healthy diet recipes website and make this available to everyone.
Remember, loosing weight is not a fad, it is a lifestyle choice. We all know which foods are healthy for us, we know about our five a day, its just a case of making sure we eat them regularly.
