Websites are always long term projects when it comes to SEO. Even with links from several Google PageRank 4 web pages, we are all at the whims of Google's algorithms. As a webmaster you must give it time. One link from a highly ranked page will not put your website at the top of any search. You need to find as many different places as possible to list your website. This is the same for everyone, us included.
If you follow our posts on Facebook and our blogs you will see we are always talking about adding links to our sites from other websites. You must look for links from external blogs, website directories, other websites. It is hard work. It takes many months or even years. But the only way to do it is to put the effort in to get as many links as possible pointing at your website.
When we start an SEO project, we tell people it will be 6 months before they appear anywhere in the Google rankings, 12 months before they get a decent Google listing, and 3 years before they hit their peak... all provided that they work at it regularly that is.
