Solar Eclipse in Scorpio November 2012

How will the November 2012 Solar Eclipse affect Scorpio? On November 13th 2012 The Sun is eclipsed in Scorpio. The event can be seen from Northern Australia and the Pacific Ocean. For many Scorpio the November 2012 solar eclipse will have some major effects on mood and feelings. The changes will begin and end several days before and after November 13th. Most people affected will feel some foreboding and possible negative mood swings. There will be more downs than ups for a few days, but the best news is, once the event has passed, it will be several years before Scorpio experiences the same thing again. Our best advice is to lay low and not attempt anything too strenuous. Take your time to think through any major decisions. You may even decide to put off some big ideas for a few days. It will be over sooner than you think.

Friends new blogs

Just having a quick read of a couple of new blogs we follow. The first is Persian Living Food and Lifestyle blog by Leila. This covers all aspects of the lifestyle of a Persian woman growing up in the UK, but with an emphasis on spreading the word about Persian food and drink. The second is by mum of four kidlets Angie. The blog is all about three generations of girls living under one roof including four under 10 girls, and the trials and tribulations that result.

Clothing website image upload

Over the last week we have been working on an image upload system for one of our website clients. The system is for a women's clothing website with a system to include all of the current stock of clothing, dresses, trousers, overcoats etc, each on an individual web page.

Once a new clothing item is uploaded and included on the website the shop owner can then add an image of the clothing item.

The image upload system is a simple HTML file upload, but also uses the built in PHP image processing to make some changes to the size of the image. Each image is resized down to a usefull size for the individual web page, but is also turned in to a thumbnail of the large image and a medium sized image for a pop up when the thumbnail images are moused over.

As an extra way of increasing the new content aspect of the website the homepage shows the last four thumbnail images that have been uploaded to the site.

2012 UK Business of the Week

Starting in January 2012 we have begun a new way to promote your business via Facebook, Twitter and our UK Business Directory.

Any UK business with their own website can apply to be one a UK Business of the Week. There are several requirements to be one of our featured businesses. Firstly you must have your own website and have the ability to add links on to your website. This means you need either a dedicated links page, or, just as good a blog. With your own blog you can add new pages and any links you need, and so can link to the other featured businesses. Next you must add your business website to our directory. It is free, takes a couple of minutes, and gives you a well formatted website link using any keywords you need to include. Thirdly, post your request on our UK Business of the Week Facebook Page. We will then add you to our list, and during the week you are featured, gain you more Facebook and Twitter followers and additional links to your website. And, as with everything we do, it is free!
